Work / Student Placements
European Voluntary Service & Work Placements:
Many Steiner Kindergartens welcome EVS students and college work placements at their service. It is recommended that students have an interest in Steiner Waldorf early education and have done some prior reading before applying for a placement. Please apply directly to the Kindergartens of your choice, with your CV and cover letter. All contact details can be found in the Early Years section. The Kindergartens listed below actively seek students for placement in their early years setting:
Ballyhall, Co Kilkenny
Burren Sonas, Co Clare
The Farmyard, Cork City
Mol an Oige, Co Clare
Raheen Wood, Co Clare
Thomastown, Co Kilkenny
Though we'd love to reply to you all personally, unfortunately ISKA is a small organisation and it is not possible for us to respond to the varied requests of students seeking information, for this reason we hope to satisfy student queries through the ISKA website. This website has many articles and newsletters which are a good first step for a college research project. Also through the links you will find extensive reading material.
Visiting a Kindergarten is often the best method to really get a sense of a Steiner Kindergarten (see placements) and how the philopophy translates into a quality early years pedagogy.
